C.O.P.E.

Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience

        Pre Course Information

Welcome to the C.O.P.E. experience. The information here is designed to prepare you for the C.O.P.E. program at Trexler Scout Reservation. Please read all forms carefully. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email Rick Christ @ 610-465-8561.

Staff:
C.O.P.E. Directors are graduates of the BSA Northeast Region National Camp School trained in C.O.P.E. programs. Staff members and instructors are trained students, outdoor leaders, and volunteer members of the community. All participate in ongoing training on C.O. P. E. activities.

Equipment and Clothing:
C.O.P.E. will provide all equipment and training for its proper use. You will be expected to dress appropriately for the weather and nature of the activity, as outlined on the What to Bring page.

Forms:
All participants must have a complete medical form (short OK) to be kept by the Scoutmaster upon arrival to camp.
No form, NO C.O.P.E.   Personal Medical forms will be completed at the time of registration.
Participants under the age of 18 must bring a complete Parental Consent form signed by their parent/guardian.

Safety:
Safety is the primary concern on the C.O.P.E. course. A safety briefing precedes each activity; at this time all risks and protection against these risks are explained. Participants are expected to abide by all safety rules set by the staff.

  • The entire COPE staff looks forward to giving you and your troop an enjoyable learning experience.
