JAMBOREE ON THE AIR

Calling all Scouts, Cub Scouts and Tiger Cubs time once again for Jamboree on the Air. Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is an international Scouting event to promote friendship around the world through Amateur Radio.  It engages Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Guides in an annual international Amateur Radio operating event each October.  This October the 53rd Jota will be held by the Minsi Trails Council at Settlers Camp at  W3TSR, the camp’s own Amateur Radio station.  Scouts will have the opportunity to talk to other Scouts around the world  and see how Scouting is really a world brotherhood.  All Scouts , Cub Scouts  and Tiger Cubs who take part will be able to get a patch through their troop or pack.

You will see how Amateur Radio operators operate the station and also find out how to become one yourself.
