Shooting Sports Instructors Needed at Summer Camp
In order to run the most effective and efficient shooting sports programs at our Boy Scout summer camps, it is necessary to have both the rifle and shotgun ranges running at the same time. In order to do this, we need to have an NRA trained and certified Rifle and/or Shotgun Instructor at both locations. Within the camps tight salary budget, we can not afford to do this. In the past we have been forced to run only one of the ranges at a time each day.
We are aware that many of our volunteers that will be attending camp this summer are already certified to instruct either Rifle or Shotgun by the NRA. We are asking that if you will be attending camp during one of our weeks this summer and if you hold a training certificate from the NRA that you consider volunteering to run one of our ranges while you are at camp.
If you or someone else you know meet the requirements above, please contact Todd Heyn, Director of Support Services, at either 610-465-8576 or todd.heyn@scouting.org to get more information or make the final arrangements. Thank you in advance for all you do to support our summer camp programs.
