100th Anniversary of Scouting
The celebration has begun for Scouting’s 100th Anniversary. This year-long, 2010 celebration is a great opportunity to promote Scouting throughout the communities we serve.

The world of time travel, magic and FUN await for Cub Scouts attending the 2010 Cub Scout Day Camp program. All Cub Scouts are invited to come and learn the games, traditions, crafts and sports found in different time periods at the 2010 Cub Scout Day Camps!

National Jamboree Equipment Pre-Sale

Want to encourage your youth to be global heroes? As part of the 100th Anniversary celebration, the Minsi Trails Council is commited to helping Nothing But Nets, a non-profit organization that collects donations to purchase mosquito nets for families in Africa.

Provisional Camping at Settlers Camp or Camp Minsi
Can’t go to camp with your Troop? Want to spend more than one week at camp and work on Merit Badges you need to complete? Looking for a fun time just sailing, shooting, archery, climbing, Mountain Biking, C.O.P.E. or other camp activities with advancement in mind? Want to camp on “Your Time”? Don’t know how to do it? Well the answer may be as simple as linking up with a Provisional Troop!

Shooting Sports Instructors Needed at Summer Camp
In order to run the most effective and efficient shooting sports programs at our Boy Scout summer camps, it is necessary to have both the rifle and shotgun ranges running at the same time. In order to do this, we need to have an NRA trained and certified Rifle and/or Shotgun Instructor at both locations.

The 100th Anniversary Council Recognition Dinner
The 100th Anniversary Council Recognition Dinner is on January 29th. Come for the fun, fellowship, great food and to honor the following Scouters with the Silver Beaver Award: Mayor John Callahan, John Cara, Mark Held, Mark Holtz, Ellsworth Machin, III, Michele Morrow, Linda Small, and Walter Witucki. The cost is $30.

2010 Trainers EDGE
Minsi Trails Council will be presenting the all new annual Trainer’s Edge Conference (formerly called ‘Trainer Development’ and prior to that ‘Train the Trainer’) on two levels, the Basic course and an Advanced course.
