Scouting

As Scouting continues to grow within the Minsi Trails Council, so to does the need for increased funding. In takes over 3.2 million dollars annually to deliver a quality Scouting program to local youth. The Council serves boys and girls in Lehigh, Northampton, Monrow, Carbon and Luzerne Counties in Pennsylvania, and Warren Country in New Jersey.

Minsi Trails Council...A History of Success

•   Nearly 34,000 youth members
•   6,000 registered adults
•   1,700 Urban Scouts
•   39% of all available youth are members
•   $1,085,000 in popcorn sold, over $405,000 in unit commissions
•   Multi-million dollar improvements made to camp facilities
•   4,000 Scouts attended Camp Minsi, Settlers or Akelaland
•   1,000 boys attended day camp
•   190 tons of food collected through Scouting for Food
•   Nearly 200 Eagle Scouts each year

Support From Many Sources

Financial support for the Minsi Trails Council comes from a number of different sources includeing Scout families, community businesses, board members, special events, the United Way and more. it takes support from each of these areas to ensure the Council has the money it needs to operate each year.
