The Anthracite District of Minsi Trails Council provides leadership and character development programs to nearly 550 youth with 230 adult volunteers.  The District serves young people throughout the White Haven, Weatherly, Freeland, Beaver Meadows, Hazleton, McAdoo, Nuremburg, Conyngham/Drums Valley and all points inbetween.

District Roundtable, Unit Commissioner’s and District Committee meetings are held the first Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted.  The Commissioner’s meeting is held at 6pm.  The Roundtable Meeting is held at 7pm.  The District Committee meeting is held at 8pm.  All leaders are invited to the District Roundtable meeting.  The District Committee meeting is held the second Thursday of each month at 7pm.  All District meetings are held in the Scout room at the Can Be Building, 103 Rotary Drive, Valmont Industrial Park, West Hazleton, PA.  Use the back entrance on the far side of the building.  Look for the Scout sign in the window.

Join us for this fun filled day with Den activities. Spend all day or some of the day with Anthracite District Scouts! Fee for this event is $5.00/individual and includes lunch. The event will feature winter camping in 8-man tents along with the annual Iditarod race. Scouts may also bring their own tents as well. CHANGES TO BALLARD CAMPORSHIP FOR 2015: Applications for camperships may be submitted beginning January 15, 2015.  Applications submitted before January 15 will not be accepted.  Applications will be reviewed by the Campership Committee in the order in which they are received, and Camperships will be awarded to eligible applicants in that same order.  A limited number of Camperships are available, and once all have been awarded the process will end.  Please submit as soon as possible after January 15th so as not to miss this great opportunity.  A Campership Committee representative will notify all 2015 recipients once award decisions have been made.
